Crystal Palace Molds
Replicas of the original prototype 1/20 scale models of Iguanodon and Megalosaurus sculpted by Benjamin Waterhouse Hawkins (under the direction of Richard Owen). Originally the first life-size restorations of dinosaurs constructed for exhibition at Sydenham Park, south London, for the Crystal Palace exhibition in 1854. The originals, constructed from ironwork, bricks, concrete and tiles, are still there to this day.
