Skull with Vertebre
TPI is pleased to announce the availability of this extraordinary skull. One of only a few known, this specimen is the best in existence. Complete with pterygoid teeth, once a P. planifrons captured its prey in its mouth, the additional set of teeth located in the upper palate helped ensure it stayed there. Platecarpus planifrons features a small number of large teeth for its skull.
In addition to being the most complete planifrons skeleton known, this specimen features shark scavenging marks on the dorsal margin of the left surangular as indicated.
This specimen available thru special arrangement with Bone Clones.
