Squalicorax falcatus

Sometimes referred to as the “Crow shark”, Squalicorax is thought to have been an active and abundant scavenger of the Late Cretaceous seas. The vast majority of vertebrate skeletons recovered from the Niobrara Chalk contain at least some Squalicorax teeth shed by the scavenging shark.
