Mahajangasuchus was a medium to large crocodylomorph distinguished by several key features, including a highly arched jugal, depressions below the orbit, a broad, flat snout (platyrostral), a robust choanal septum, a wide and rounded anterior margin of the dentary, ziphodont teeth, and a short mandibular symphysis.
