Ichthyodectes ctenodon

Ichthyodectes ctenodon

from $1,250.00

Nearly identical to Xiphactinus in body shape but less than half the length, the closely-related Ichthyodectes found itself as an occasional meal for its larger cousin. Not quite as large as its enormous cousin, Ichthyodectes was still a voracious predator and is aptly named as Ichthyodectes translates to “fish biter”. The only source for this and other three-dimensionally reconstructed fossil fish is Triebold Paleontology, Inc.
