Arizonasaurus, a proposaurid Archosaur from the Middle Triassic period, was discovered in the Moenkopi Formation of northern Arizona. In 2002, Sterling Nesbitt uncovered a fairly complete skeleton of this species. Notably, Arizonasaurus features a prominent sailback, created by elongated neural spines on its vertebrae.
