Comically known as the “flying tweezers”, this Early Cretaceous pterosaur is found in the Junggar Basin of western China. The teeth of Dsungaripterus are knobby and flat, located at the rear of the jaw, possibly used for crushing shellfish. The front of the skull is edentulous and forms a narrow, pointed tip.
