Beelzebufo ampinga
Beelzebufo ampinga
Beelzebufo, from the Late Cretaceous of Madagascar, is one of the largest and heaviest frogs known, living or extinct. It lived among dinosaurs, crocodiles, and other viscous predators. It too, was a viscous predator possibly even preying on hatchling and juvenile dinosaurs using its dozens of needle-sharp teeth to immobilize and consume.
Triebold Paleontology, Inc. is proud to announce that we are now offering the first officially licensed skeletal replica of this fascinating creature. It is also the largest replica available showing the maximum size to which this frog was believed to have grown.
This affordable replica is a great piece to accent larger displays or to stand alone as a smaller display. More importantly, sales of this replica help support Madagascar collections and related infrastructure which includes training and education in paleontology.
TPI supports the Madagascar Ankizy Fund- ankizy meaning children, which provides education and healthcare to children in remote areas where fossils like Beelzebufo was discovered. You can learn more about their mission on the website- www.ankizy.org
